im editing this descript to let people know that theres nothing educational about the description of what type of perspective it is in a technical sense. (as it wasnt correct). continuing on with the old description...

This style more resembles that of the view used in the Konami game Boktai for the GBA. It is actually a demonstrative peice for a step by step tutorial on map building, and there will be an identical map done at the more common perspective as well, so it should be a fun experiment to see how closely they came out. Umm... without the second layer of tiles with transparency (obviously the image was flattened), the background had 31 colors, and with all the object overlays it was bumped up to 73 or so. expect spriteart.com to be launched before sept 22nd -_^... along with a crazy amount of pixel tutorials filled with goodies and examples.
